Our client, a specialist in the transport of containerised and break bulk cargo, is seeking a dedicated SHEQ and Training Manager to join their dynamic team.
In this pivotal role, you'll play a crucial part in ensuring a safe and compliant work environment while fostering a culture of continuous improvement and contributing to the company's continued success.
Responsibilities:
- 5+ years facilitation internal & external training sessions, including statutory training
- Develop and implement comprehensive SHEQ policies, procedures, and training programs.
- Risk assessments and accident inspections.
- Conduct risk assessments, accident investigation techniques, and compliance audits.
- Manage PPE procurement, distribution& compliance.
- Monitoring and reviewing new and existing Health & Safety legislation ensuring compliance.
- Oversee safety training initiatives and ensure regulatory compliance.
- Provide guidance and support to employees on safety matters.
- Experience in maintaining SHEQ records and reports
Qualifications:
- Degree/Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) or Training.
- 5+ years of relevant supervisory experience in a similar role within the transport industry.
- Experience with the Chemical and Allied Industry Association (CAIA).
- Proficient in MS Office.
