Our client, a specialist in the transport of containerised and break bulk cargo, is seeking a dedicated SHEQ and Training Manager to join their dynamic team.

In this pivotal role, you'll play a crucial part in ensuring a safe and compliant work environment while fostering a culture of continuous improvement and contributing to the company's continued success.

Responsibilities:

  • 5+ years facilitation internal & external training sessions, including statutory training
  • Develop and implement comprehensive SHEQ policies, procedures, and training programs.
  • Risk assessments and accident inspections.
  • Conduct risk assessments, accident investigation techniques, and compliance audits.
  • Manage PPE procurement, distribution& compliance.
  • Monitoring and reviewing new and existing Health & Safety legislation ensuring compliance.
  • Oversee safety training initiatives and ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Provide guidance and support to employees on safety matters.
  • Experience in maintaining SHEQ records and reports

 

Qualifications:

  • Degree/Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) or Training.
  • 5+ years of relevant supervisory experience in a similar role within the transport industry.
  • Experience with the Chemical and Allied Industry Association (CAIA).
  • Proficient in MS Office.
